Hmm… the cattery pen is empty now until the new year. Time to give my own cats some extra love and attention. But I must say it seems very odd not hearing little kittens racing around out there. Since Jacob went in October, I had a rag bag of four little ones in the pen – all the last of their respective litters to find a home, and three of them black. What did I tell you?! It was a very quiet autumn on the viewing front and I was beginning to despair of any of them finding a family before Christmas. But I’m a firm believer that the right family comes along for each cat, and sure enough they went one by one – Midnight first, then Clyde, then Buzz and finally Sam.
I was looking back at my records for the year and found that 30 cats and kittens have stayed with me and gone on to a permanent home – what better Christmas present could I have than that.
